[LN] Senpai, Jitaku Keibiin no Koyou wa Ikaga desu ka? - Volume 1 - Afterword

Afterword

Hello readers who hold this work. My name is Kei Futagami.

I won a prize in the 9th Net Shousetsu Taish contest, my work is now available in book form and sold at bookstores. As I write this Afterword, I still can't believe my eyes.

This work, "Senpai, will you hire me as an Maid?" (Below I will shorten it to "House Protection") is an anthology of psychological stories of 5 characters: Tama, Rena, Gami, Kurumi-chan and her sister Rena, along with an unfinished episode that is difficult to control. The romantic comedy short story I put in Tama's point of view, and kept switching to Rena's point of view to complete the story... The work received an unexpected response, and I decided to publish it over a long period of time so that the development of the story could reach the ending I wanted.

When the web version was published, as I was writing this afterword, the main character Rena did not appear in more than half of the works... In the anthology, the change of characters through each point of view has been emphasized, and the love story here is considered to be an important backbone in the entire work.

Although I am completely satisfied with the web version, the plot structure in the book version has been heavily reviewed and revised. I think I can improve the quality of work well .... To the readers who have supported me since the web version was published, how would you rate this book version?

The editor in charge of this work has stamped my approval. One of our meetings that changed locations at will, or included scenes that were not planned in the draft, that's why it caused delays. What kind of meeting is that like going on a break. Thanks to the editor who laughed and told me that if this piece became interesting, it would be wonderful.

I still clearly remember the first time I received the character designs from the illustrator, Azuri Hyuuga. That's why my imagination soared, and the story didn't stop at just following the plot of the web version. Thank you very much for taking on the role of illustrator for "Home protection".

I would like to congratulate GCN Bunko on the successful release of the first volume under the new name, even though it is two months late. Thank you very much for recommending "Home Protection" as the first published volume.

Finally, I would like to thank my readers who have encouraged me since the web version was published, and all the new readers holding my work in their hands. I believe that my greatest return to you is to turn this work into a very good and interesting story, when it ends, you will feel fortunate to have the opportunity to interact and follow it.

I hope I can see you again in the next volume, as my next thank you to you.
